Okay, school wasn't too bad, then went home quickly and met up with Chloé downtown around 6:30. We wasted some good time at Norm'l and Allegro, then made our way to Record Runner. So, this is where I noticed that all of these millions of CD'S I want to buy are *much* cheaper there than HMV, plus I'd be supporting local Ottawa business! *Note to self: buy more CD's at record runner*.
NOW We went to stand in line around 7, and we got lucky and could wait half inside, a bit of heat. They let us in around 7:30, and then I saw... ADAM! Yay :) Lol he couldn'T get in yet because they were supposed to be on a guestlist (His friend Kiki's mom knows some important people) or something.
Okay, got in, stood in the pit, very nicely located may I say. Then Adam came a lil later quite close to us :) Jersey started their set at about 8:30 (yes, a lot of time standing and just waiting...). Lol the second they started, moshing commenced, and I was caught offgard therefore kinda travelled (surprisingly, in Adam's direction!!) around. But it's all for the best, I was moshing like right next to him, so props to that.
After Jersey, I managed to get really close to the rails, got back together with Chloé, and just got hyped up for Yellowcard. Amd holy shit were they ever good! I don't know them all that well but they blew me away; they have such energy on stage, it's really awesome. Plus, our side was the best, they came to see us all the time :)
Now, after that, a buncha people left, and then I was dead on the bar. Again, I don'T know Eve6 much, but I was only there to really hear two songs: Here's To The Night and Inside Out. Overall, I think they're a little too famous for my liking, they seemed like they were too cool to be there really. But they still had an enjoyable performance, but their songs suck, lol.
Oh well, I paid money, so I stayed, it's all good. (Adam left half-way). At the end, I found a Yellowcard pin on the floor :) Then we went over to the merchandise table, and the two lead singers + bassist from YC were there :) Awww, gosh those guys are so nice!! Chloé got picks with all of them, I got em to sign my shoes (haha done this before?).
Okay so yeah, I had an awesome night. But holy shit am I in pain. I got on the 95 at 12:30, got at Place d'Orleans at 1 and then got home at like 1:30. It was damned well worth it! (Adam said he was there at like the same time!! How come?! I didn't see him, I was alll alone at the station... it was creepy...)
I wanna go to the Warped Tour.
